Acupuncture and Dry Needling in Knowle, Bristol
Acupuncture can be used as a temporary adjunctive treatment for osteoarthritis knee pain alongside whatever your GP or physiotherapist has you doing, not instead of it.
It is something that can sit alongside the exercises and the medication, and for some people it makes the in-between weeks more manageable.
If you are already under someone for it, bring what they have told you. I would rather work with that than around it.
Getting here from Knowle
Driving
Grove Park Road, off the Bath Road, ten minutes east. Directions and parking are on the Knowle massage page.
Parking
Park on Grove Park Road, Pendennis Park Road, Trelawney Road or Montrose Park Road.
Parking is free. There is no permit zone, no meter and no time limit, so there is nothing to buy and no app to download. Arrive five minutes before your appointment and you will not need longer than that.
Cycling
Bring your bike inside. There is an entrance lobby with room for it, so it does not sit locked to a railing while you are face down on the table and cannot check on it. Brislington is flat enough along the Bath Road that riding in takes minutes.
What is a session like
Fine, sterile, single-use needles, left in place for a short while rather than moved about. Most people feel very little sometimes a dull ache or a twitch as a muscle lets go. There is a fuller description of what a session involves, and how acupuncture and dry needling differ, on the acupuncture and dry needling page.
Booking
Thirty minutes to two hours, from £34. Thirty is usually enough for a single joint. Book online, or email serena@wellhealththerapy.com, or call 07981 179 229 to talk it through first.
Whether you’re looking to relieve pain, recover from injury, reduce stress, or simply take time to reset, every treatment is tailored to you and your body’s needs.
